Hyundai Mobis presented its vision centered on electrification during the IAA Mobility 2023 Show – Europe’s mobility trade fair. The company is positioning itself to attract Europe’s leading automotive companies, recognized for their rigorous standards of technical excellence and reliability. The strategy is to leverage its technological capacity to generate significant orders with the aim of achieving a quarter of Hyundai Mobis’ global order negotiations for the year in the European market.
At the event, which took place from September 5 to 10 in Munich, Germany, the company announced its intention to exhibit a series of more than 20 production-ready advances in electrification and automotive components. This is the second year that Hyundai Mobis has participated in the event, having previously made its debut in 2021.
At this year’s IAA Mobility Show, the company highlighted its electrification program, one of the cornerstones of its forward-looking strategy. Visitors to the show were able to get a first-hand look at the Kia EV9, equipped with a state-of-the-art battery system from Hyundai Mobis, as well as the innovative Power Electric (PE) system, essential automotive components for electrification.
Hyundai Mobis also presented the next generation of the e-CCPM (Electric Complete Chassis Platform Module). This next-generation advancement integrates key electrification innovations into a versatile aluminum structure, enabling the creation of multiple PBVs (Purpose-Built Vehicles) without the need for separate platform developments and offering a comprehensive solution for electrification.
During the exhibition, the company held discussions with leading European automakers with a view to collaborating on future technologies around its cutting-edge features: innovative electrification solutions, autonomous driving systems and the world’s first rollable display.
Hyundai Mobis is optimistic about expanding its presence in the European market through its participation in global mobility fairs such as the IAA. One example of its momentum in Europe is the electrification components contract for Volkswagen, which Hyundai Mobis recently secured. This success highlights its potential for other European contracts.
