In September, Hyundai Mobis presented its Trailer Reverse Assistance technology during the Open House event held at the company’s Research and Development Center in Detroit, USA.
The event was attended by representatives of the global automotive sector, as well as state government officials. Hyundai Mobis is expanding its positioning in North America, and, for this reason, the company uses comprehensive Research and Development strategies, based on analyzing the preferences and needs of American consumers.
At the event, Hyundai Mobis presented technologies designed specifically for the North American market, demonstrating the core technologies in real vehicles and its inside view of the state-of-the-art research facilities. One of the highlights was the revolutionary Trailer Reverse Assistance system – a technology that automatically guides the vehicle equipped with a trailer, based on the image from the rear-view camera, specifically when reverse parking is required.
This innovation has been adjusted to meet the unique demands of the North American market, where pickup trucks are in high demand and trailers are used more frequently. In a dynamic demonstration, Hyundai Mobis installed this technology in the Genesis GV60, offering attendees a real experience of how the innovation works.
During this occasion, Hyundai Mobis presented a total of 21 new technologies, including an In-Cab Monitoring System using biometric signals and an Electronic Parking Brake designed specifically for pickup trucks (e-DIH).
For Hyundai Mobis, the North American market is seen as a key target for overseas demand. All the technologies presented at the event are not expected to reach the Brazilian market.
