Clarification Note

Hyundai Mobis informs that it continues to closely monitor reports involving possible symptoms of discomfort presented by employees at the Piracicaba manufacturing unit.

Although, to date, there is no confirmation regarding the origin of the incident, the company has preemptively adopted a series of measures and has already informed the competent authorities, including the local Health Surveillance Agency and the Piracicaba City Hall, making itself fully available to cooperate with any necessary investigations.

While continuously monitoring the health status of all employees at the unit, Hyundai Mobis has implemented several actions aimed at preserving the health and well-being of its professionals. Among these measures, a complete disinfection process was carried out in the company’s cafeteria, in addition to a full reformulation of the menu, prioritizing foods that minimize any risk of contamination.

Additionally, chlorine levels in all drinking fountains on the premises were checked, and cleaning and disinfection procedures throughout the company’s facilities were reinforced as a preventive measure to avoid any possibility of bacterial proliferation.

Hyundai Mobis also clarifies that all water used in its operations, including for human consumption and food preparation, comes exclusively from the municipal public water supply system, with no use of water from wells or alternative sources.

In parallel, the company is responsibly monitoring the care provided in hospitals and emergency units in the city, with the aim of understanding whether there are records of similar symptoms in the general population and what those symptoms may be.

As part of the investigation efforts, samples of the meals served in recent days, as well as the water consumed at the unit, have been sent for laboratory analysis to verify the possible presence of bacteria or any other agent that may have contributed to the reported symptoms. The estimated timeframe for completion of these analyses is up to two weeks.

Hyundai Mobis reaffirms its commitment to transparency, to the health of its employees, and to the local community. As soon as the results are officially released, the company will make a new public statement to provide additional clarification and avoid any misunderstandings.
