In order to continue its commitment to customer safety and protect the Hyundai brand of genuine parts and accessories, Hyundai Mobis intensified its crackdown on counterfeit parts during 2025.

The illegal trade in parts, mostly advertised through social media and websites, can result in a number of losses for consumers and the automotive industry. Among the main risks are mechanical failures, reduced vehicle performance, increased likelihood of accidents, and loss of warranty. In addition, the circulation of counterfeit items directly affects the production chain, generates unfair competition, and compromises the brand’s credibility.

To address this scenario, Hyundai Mobis has been expanding its digital monitoring strategies, strengthening partnerships with competent authorities, and raising awareness among vehicle owners to identify genuine products. The company emphasizes that choosing genuine parts is essential to ensure the safety, durability, and proper performance of Hyundai vehicles.

Effective actions in 2025

During the year, Hyundai Mobis stepped up its fight with measures to monitor and remove 170 websites and 83,000 advertisements for counterfeit parts. In November alone, these actions resulted in an economic impact of over R$ 1.3 million.

In addition to online monitoring, Hyundai Mobis participated in training sessions with postal service agents in São Paulo and the Federal Revenue Service at Viracopos Airport in Campinas, locations with strong enforcement and specific operations for identifying and seizing counterfeit products.

Brand Protection and Reporting Channel

All these actions are part of Brand Protection, Hyundai Mobis’ brand protection program that aims to curb the circulation of counterfeit and illegal parts in the market. To reinforce this initiative, the company provides a permanent Reporting Channel on its official website, guaranteeing confidentiality and security to the whistleblower. This tool is another step toward supporting enforcement and protecting consumers, ensuring that only genuine parts reach the market.

How to identify genuine parts and accessories?

  • Hyundai Mobis packaging features the Hyundai logo with the description: ‘Genuine Parts’;
  • The labels on cardboard boxes always have rounded corners;
  • Hyundai Mobis never supplies parts without labels or with packaging that has been dismantled and separated from the product;
  • Genuine Hyundai Mobis products will never be delivered together with products from other brands or manufacturers;
  • It is important to pay extra attention to products with prices well below those generally charged in the market.

Where to buy genuine parts?

Genuine parts and accessories should be purchased safely from Hyundai dealerships throughout Brazil.

Genuine parts and accessories supplied by Hyundai Mobis and installed at HMB dealerships come with a 12-month or 20,000-kilometer warranty, whichever comes first, from the date of delivery of the item, regardless of the vehicle model. Products purchased at dealerships have a 90-day warranty, also valid from the date of purchase.

Hyundai vehicles in the HB20 and CRETA lines that are under warranty may lose the benefit if counterfeit parts with damage are found during periodic inspections.
